As with any city where you may be interested in investing in real estate, the same is true for Puerto Vallarta: it’s important to do some research in order to find the perfect neighborhood for you.

Puerto Vallarta has a variety of residential and urban neighborhoods, each offering distinct benefits. When it comes to deciding which of the Puerto Vallarta neighborhoods are right for you, it is important to weigh the pros and cons to come to a solid decision you feel good about.

Here at NuHome, our Puerto Vallarta real estate agents are very familiar with the neighborhoods that are often the most sought after when it comes to investing in Puerto Vallarta real estate.

Marina Vallarta

Marina Vallarta, while a little removed from the downtown core, is a wonderful residential neighborhood with numerous properties available. From beautiful multi-bedroom family homes with a pool to extravagant high rise condominiums with ocean views, and properties within gated communities and residential developments that offer all kinds of amenities. Plus, the El Tigre Golf Course is almost always a stone’s throw away when it comes to living in Marina Vallarta.

Versailles

The Versailles neighborhood in Puerto Vallarta is a primarily residential neighborhood. With many of the cities schools nearby, this neighborhood is the perfect place to live if you’re raising a family in Puerto Vallarta. Although, the community is great for retirement or even a Puerto Vallarta vacation home. Big stores like Costco and La Comer are found in this area; plus, as an up-and-coming part of Puerto Vallarta, exciting new restaurants and businesses are beginning to spring up here too.

Centro & The Romantic Zone

Puerto Vallarta’s downtown core – known as Centro – and the city’s Romantic Zone is almost always buzzing with life. This neighborhood is for those who like to be in the middle of it all. With countless restaurants and fantastic nightlife, numerous art galleries, plazas, and the city’s iconic Malecon boardwalk there is almost always something to do. However, it is important to note that this neighborhood is not for those seeking peace and quiet.

The South Shore

Puerto Vallarta’s South Shore neighborhoods include Amapas, Conchas Chinas, Mismaloya and even further (about 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta) you’ll find Boca de Tomatlán. Conchas Chinas is loosely referred to as the “Beverly Hills” of Puerto Vallarta due to its astounding hill-top villas and luxury condominiums. Amapas is a zone just south of the city’s Romantic Zone where you’ll find wonderful residences and condominiums, however, it’s important to note it’s not quite into the “quiet” zone yet.
